The 2014 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation jury meeting will take place from 10-12 June. This year, UNESCO received a large pool of submissions, with a total of 46 submitted entries from 16 Asia-Pacific countries. The ten international jury panellists, which include award winning conservation architects, architectural historians and urban planners will carefully deliberate each submission.
Award categories range from the top Award of Excellence, Award of Distinction, Award of Merit and Honourable Mention. A special jury prize is given for projects which recognize newly-built structures that are demonstrate outstanding architectural design that is well-integrated into historic contexts.
The selected winners will be announced in early September 2014 by the Jury Chair, Mr Tim Curtis, Chief of Culture Unit, UNESCO Bangkok.
