The IFCD provides support to projects that aim to foster the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector, primarily through activities facilitating the introduction and/or elaboration of policies and strategies that have a direct effect on the creation, production, distribution of and access to the diversity of cultural expressions as well as the reinforcement of institutional infrastructures supporting viable local and regional cultural industries.
In order to generate high quality proposals, the Lao National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Antenna Office in Lao PDR organized a one-day workshop in Vientiane. On Friday 14 March, 28 participants from government institutions and civil societies came together to learn about the fund, review project proposals that were successfully funded and examine the application process.
Interested Lao organization can send their proposals to the Lao National Commission for UNESCO until 18 April 2014 for pre-evaluation and final submission to the Fund by 15 May.
